BAE Systems Australia has reinforced their commitment to investing in the next generation of workers by recruiting a record number of graduates across the country, including 50 in South Australia.
The new recruits will be supporting the Hunter class frigate program, the Jindalee Operational Radar Network upgrade and the development of new technologies for the Australian Defence Force.
Others across the country will be work across a range of maritime and aerospace sustainment programs and corporate roles.
A further 30 apprentices are also set to join the national company later in 2023. Half of these recruits will join the Hunter class frigate program, with the remained working in advanced manufacturing and aircraft sustainment.
BAE Systems Australia Chief People Officer, Angela Wiggins, said there is high demand across the country for a wide range of defence industry roles.
“Our early career programs open the door for young people to a long and diverse career with opportunities to move between projects, across states or countries as they build experiences,” she said.
The company plans to recruit another 100 graduates nationwide in 2024. Applications are now open.
