With a range of high paying careers across naval shipbuilding, information warfare, cyber and space, the state will be looking to employ more than 10,000 people over the next two decades.

The Big Meet is a FREE careers fair targeted at undergraduates and recent graduates from all universities in the metropolitan region. Whether you are a first year student or final year undergraduate or you’ve been working, studying or travelling since graduation, you are welcome to attend.
Hot on the heels of the recent AUKUS announcement that a new fleet of nuclear-powered submarines will be built in South Australia, it has never been a better time to start your career in the industry.
The nuclear submarines will see up to 5,500 workers at the peak of the build in 20 to 30 years, and there will be up to 4,000 workers who will be starting within the next year on the infrastructure needed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard for when the build commences.
The jobs on offer are a broad range across the defence industry, including engineers, scientists, technicians, project managers, ICT, administrators and tradespeople.
Home to more than 100 space-related organisations, the Australian Space Agency, Mission Control Centre and the future Australian Space Park, South Australia also has a rapidly growing space industry.
There are more than 1,400 people working across different roles in the industry, from space scientists, propulsion and robotic engineers to data and Artificial Intelligence analysts, software developers and space lawyers.
