The popular KBR annual summer internship program is back, with 60 exciting roles on offer in Australia.

Two thousand people in Australia currently work across major defence and infrastructure projects, and the internship is the ideal opportunity to acquire hands-on experience and forge a successful career at the leader in global technology and engineering.

With an established footprint in Adelaide, KBR graduates like Josh Wurfel can immerse themselves in cutting-edge projects taking place in the country’s Defence State.

Several months into his engineering career, the 23-year-old Adelaide University structural engineering graduate is already reaping the rewards, working on world-class infrastructure, buildings and roadwork projects in South Australia and interstate.

“I am learning a lot and really appreciate the opportunity to contribute, even if in a small way at this stage, to the larger projects the team is working on. It’s great being part of a larger company and I enjoy having a variety of projects to work on,” said Mr Wurfel.

KBR People and Culture Director Christine Gillon said that the internship program is a springboard into industry.

“Many of our interns continue with us as graduates because they love the variety of work we do and the opportunities they have for career development in Australia in both critical infrastructure and defence, and also as they progress, within our global business.”

Applications for the summer internship close on 2 June 2024.
