The Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex is located on the Southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula. The site received planning approval in 2024 and work will begin to construct two new launch pads at the complex.

Upgrades to the combat management system of three Hobart class Air Warfare Destroyers (AWD) will occur at Osborne Naval Shipyard.
Adelaide is home to both full-cycle docking and life-of-type extension project for the current fleet of Collins class submarines to maintain submarine capability prior to the introduction of nuclear-powered conventionally armed submarines.
Under the AUKUS trilateral security partnership (with the US and UK), South Australia is the home of the build for Australia’s new fleet of nuclear-powered submarines, the SSN-AUKUS.
